"When the Lord put hooves on the wind and a bridle on lighting, he called it a horse” Hi, and thank you for visiting the Cooler Horsemanship website. We appreciate your interest in our teaching philosophies!
Cooler Horsemanship is a form of natural horsemanship that was developed by Don Cooler in the early 1990’s. Having dedicated himself to studying a number of top natural horsemanship trainers, Don developed a set of philosophies and techniques that became known as the ATRUM Method – the basis to understanding the knowledge and skills needed to build the relationship of trust and communication we all strive for with our horses. Due to Don’s untimely death from cancer in 2004, Cooler Horsemanship is now carried on by Don’s son, James Cooler. James and his fiance Kate recently left the Rose Dhu Creek Equestrian Center located in beautiful Bluffton, South Carolina to spend the summer out of the heat in James' home town of Lewistown, Montana. James and Kate currently have four horses of their own in training, work with a handful of private clients, and host seminars and 2-day clinics at various locations. We invite you to browse through our site to learn a little more about Cooler Horsemanship. Check back often as it continues to grow with educational text and videos, a message board, clinic dates, and more. If you have any questions or would like more information on clinics and seminars, visit our contact page or email James at jamescooler @ coolerhorsemanship.com : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Plan to attend our upcoming Horsemanship clinic June 27 - 28 Visit our schedule page for more information
